Theo ‘threatens’ Hakimi and backs Brahim
Rossoneri left-back Theo Hernandez promises to block Achraf Hakimi in the derby and backs Brahim Diaz to shine with AC Milan.
We are about to enter the hottest week of the year, the one leading up to the Derby della Madonnina. In fact, Inter vs AC Milan is scheduled for matchday 4 of Serie A at the San Siro stadium on Saturday. The Rossoneri got off to a good start with three wins out of three and no goals conceded. But the one against Inter will be the first real challenge of this season.
Stefano Pioli, twists and turns aside, will again have two important pawns at his disposal. Alessio Romagnoli, who has returned from injury, and above all Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has defeated Coronavirus. It will be a highly spectacular challenge, unfortunately in an empty San Siro.
There is much anticipation for the duel on the left flank. On one hand Theo Hernandez, on the other Achraf Hakimi. The two represent two regrets for Real Madrid. They both were sold perhaps too soon. Theo and Achraf know each other precisely because they shared (for a short time) their experience at Los Blancos.
In his interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, the AC Milan left-back spoke about this much-awaited confrontation. Aware of his opponent’s abilities, he is convinced he can do well: “I had him as a teammate, I know who he is and what he can do, he’s a great player. But I will give everything so that he does nothing. I will not let him pass“.
Theo backs another former Real Madrid to shine with the Red and Blacks jersey. “Brahim Diaz is impressive, it’s really cool to see him play. He has only one year on his contract with Milan, but it would be nice if he stayed here for a long time”.
